Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers the treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") by LetsListen, Corp., a Delaware corporation ("LetsListen"), and other data that LetsListen gathers when you are accessing LetsListen's Service (as defined in LetsListen's Terms of Service). The Service is not available to individuals who are younger than 13 years old.

What Personal Information Does LetsListen Collect?

  • Personal Information You Provide to Us: The Service (as defined in LetsListen's Terms of Service) authenticates your identity through a third-party Open Authentication process, such as by using Facebook's or Twitter's official development kit. The Service does not store, manipulate, or otherwise have access to your Facebook, Twitter or other third-party authentication provider password.
  • We receive and store any information you enter on our Service or provide to us in any other way. The types of Personal Information collected may include your name, gender, time zone, email address, phone number, phone model, geographic location, Facebook, Twitter or other third-party authentication provider usernames, information publicly available on your connected social network accounts, use information regarding your use of our Service, and browser information. The Personal Information you provide is used for such purposes as allowing you to set up a user account and profile that can be used to interact with other users through the Service, improving the content of the Service, customizing the advertising and content you see, and communicating with you about specials and new features. We may also draw upon this Personal Information in order to adapt the Services of our community to your needs, to research the effectiveness of our network and Services, and to develop new tools for the community.
  • Information Collected Automatically: When you use the Service, LetsListen automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser or mobile platform, including your location, IP address, cookie information, and the page you requested. We treat this data as non-Personal Information, except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable law. LetsListen only uses this data in aggregate form. We may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our customers, collectively, use our site, so that our partners may also understand how often people use their services and our Service.

How is My Information Shared?

  • Our Partners: We enter into relationships with a variety of businesses and work closely with them. In certain situations, these businesses sell items or provide promotions to you through LetsListen's Service. In other situations, LetsListen provides services, or sells products jointly with these businesses. You can easily recognize when one of these businesses is associated with your transaction, and we will share your Personal Information that is related to such transactions with that business.
  • Business Transfers: If LetsListen or substantially all of its assets are acquired, or in the unlikely event that LetsListen goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
  • Protection of LetsListen and Others: We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law, including laws outside your country of residence; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of LetsListen, our employees, our users, or others. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, such as notices regarding this Privacy Policy, those legal notices will still govern your use of the LetsListen Service, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes. We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from LetsListen if your computer supports this type of program. LetsListen uses this confirmation to help us make emails more interesting and helpful and improve our service.

What About Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people.

Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways.

Ads appearing on the Service may be delivered to users by our advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by LetsListen and its service providers and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Is Personal Information About Me Secure?

LetsListen endeavors to safeguard user information to ensure that user account information is kept private. However, LetsListen cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

The Service may contain links to other sites. LetsListen is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site, you should read the privacy policy stated on that site. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on the Service.

What Personal Information Can I Access About Me?

LetsListen allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, publishing, and in certain situations, updating that information and ensuring that it is accurate and complete. You can access this information after logging in on LetsListen or for certain pieces of the data, it may require that you login at the original social network which you used to login to LetsListen. This list will change as our Service changes.

I can access my:

  • Email address
  • LetsListen Profile
  • List of friends from LetsListen and associated social network accounts
  • Usage information (such as songs you listened to and with whom, song playlists, favorites, ect.)
  • Music I uploaded

What Personal Information Can Other Users Access About Me?

LetsListen allows other users to access a limited set of information about you such as:

I can access my:

  • Your name
  • Date of joining
  • About me text
  • Online status
  • Current room you are listening in
  • Current song you are listening too

Other users may see any messages you type into a chat window. If you are a room owner, others may see what interactions you make in the room, your music library, favorites and playlists.

If you use any share button, or if you enable autoposting, then your name and information related to your room may be shared on social networks.

Other users may be able to see your listen history, if this option is enabled in the settings menu.

How Do I Delete My Account?

Should you ever decide to delete your LetsListen account, you may do so by clicking on the "delete account" link on your account settings page, if the "delete account" link is not available you may contact support@letslisten.com and request that they delete your account manually. If you terminate your account, your profile, including your User Submissions (as defined in LetsListen's Terms of Service) and any promotional offers you received, will be removed from the site and deleted from LetsListen's servers. Because of the way we maintain LetsListen, such deletion may not be immediate, and residual copies of your profile information or posts may remain on backup media.

How Is Information Removed From My Account?

Even after you remove information from your account or profile, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere, to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users. Removed and deleted information may remain on backup media.

Will There Be Changes To This Privacy Policy?

LetsListen may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. You are responsible to check this privacy policy for updates or material changes before using LetsListen. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when they use the Service after such changes have been first posted.
